López Toledano, Miquel Ángel

Civil Engineer and Postgraduate in Territorial Planning and Urbanism.

Former General Director of Urban Planning in the Autonomous region of Madrid and La Rioja.

Member of the technical team that drafted the 1990 Land and Construction Law project, its 1992 Revised Text as well as the 2005 Law on Territorial Policy, Land and Urban Planning Measures of the Comunity of Madrid and collaborator in the generation of the European Union’s Interregional Cross-Border Cooperation Programme.

He has performed and is currently performing several and numerous general planning and development works as a director at national level (Albacete, Brunete, Valdemoro, Santa Cruz de la Zarza, Illescas, Seseña…) and international level (Collaborator in: General Plan of Bucharest, Integrated Plans of Sustainable Urban Development of the EU in Bulgaria, Integrated Urban Development (DUSI in Mexico and Brazil) and UN expert collaborator in territorial development programmes in Cundinamarca (Colombia).

More than 30 years of teaching activity in the Masters of Urban and Regional Planning at the Universities of: Centro de Estudios Universitarios (CEU), Carlos III of Madrid, Polytechnic de Valencia, Architectural School of Valladolid, Alicante, Valencia, Barcelona and Madrid, in the master’s degree programme in town planning at the National Institute of Public Administration and in various public and private bodies and organisations.
